Festive Fundraising Films!

15th Dec 2015

Over the years, Knew Productions have been involved in many charity videos. These range from filming events, making information films, promotional films and specific targeted fundraising films As with business and corporate videos, the ‘Return On Investment’ has proved to be fantastic! When Knew Productions has been commissioned by a charity to produce a fundraising video, the finished production is often shown as part of a targeted pitch, with the aim of getting sponsorship and donations. The saying “a picture paints a thousand words” is true - but a moving picture with music, information, soundbites and ‘real people’ with heartfelt stories is worth infinitely more.

Our videos have been shown at events, conferences, charity balls, talks and meetings as well as on websites and through social media. They are a concise, succinct way for charities to get their messages across. You just need to watch some of the video clips on Children In Need or Comic Relief to understand the power of a well made video.

Some of the charitable organisations that Knew Productions has worked with include, the National Trust, Groundwork North Wales, Hope House Children’s Hospice, Nightingale House Hospice, Clwyd Special Riding Centre, St Kentigerns Hospice and Claire House. We do, of course, try to ‘do our bit’ for charity as well - whether its a 3 Peak Challenge, a Race For Life or a Chester Half Marathon, every effort helps! This year, Knew Productions donated filming and edit time to ‘Share’, the Flintshire based charity set up by local businessman Adam Dandy, sending aid in response to the refugee crisis. This video proved to be brilliant on social media. We also supported Nightingale House in Wrexham by donating filming and editing of their James Bond event in November. This was jointly organised by Pendine Park Care Homes and Barclays, the event raised over £6,000 and the video continues to promote, remind and raise awareness long after 007 has driven off into the sunset! But who can forget last years De Winter Dash?! Knew Productions contributed free of charge, it was in aid of Chester Food Bank and very festive!

There is a definite satisfaction when working with charities, helping to promote their cause. Its good to know that the money they initially invest in their video will be returned and greatly rewarded as their film often becomes one of their strongest fundraising tools. Whether service users, volunteers or paid staff, the people that we film and edit are so caring and genuinely dedicated, it is a privilege to work with them.

On that note, we would like to wish you all a very happy Christmas and successful New Year.

With best wishes from Margaret, Richard and all at Knew Productions.
