As part of the National Trust, Erddig Estate in Wrexham has been conserving and restoring many of its external artefacts over the past few years. The reality is that most of these are on display rather than in use – so we were briefed to film them in action, to show to 10,000 visitors every year.
We filmed members of staff using the various artefacts, and suggested that professional commentary be included to enhance the piece.
The DVD format allows the film to continually repeat without any intervention from staff. It runs on a plasma screen in their audio visual suite every day and results in excellent feedback from visitors.
